That the Crossmen score improved more than anyone elses in DCI last week? That is correct. Our score went up 2.75 between Saturday and Wednesday.
It is kind of like being named the American League Player of the week. Now we must build upon that, with our performance prowess and the execution of our new endings to Radar Love and the end of the Show.
Last night in Goodland, KS we performed for an entire stadium full of townsfolk. They loved the corps.
The changes were in, and it went remarkably well. For the first time all season we got more applause at the end of Radar Love than at the end of the Ballad. This is a good thing, as we basically went from the end of Classical Gas to the balland without the crowd going nuts for us. This was a concern, and now it seems as if it has been fixed. ALso, the end of the show good a very favorable reaction too.
We still have long lists to fix and enhance the program, but we are being very organized in our daily approach and the captions of vis, guard, brass and percussion have been congruent in approach and in pace of cleaning the show up.
I am supposed to go home tomorrow for only 2 days. I am trying to work out some flight issues right after I type this up.
Today we are in Greely, Colorado. ANother hot day, but it is beautiful here. WE are going to focus on the ballad (So far Away) and of course keep cleaning up the newer material we added this week....today is a great cleaning day.
Mood: Happy, and ready for another great day with the Crossmen

Feel the Love!
Larry, I so appreciate what you and the whole staff are doing for the corps, and I have felt that way at every rehearsal. The positive approach you bring to the achievements and disappointments alike, and to every bit of work that must be done conveys the message that disappointments and "lists" are opportunities; and what a great way that is for these fine kids to do their best, and feel pride in every effort they make. THANK YOU. Hope you enjoy your trip home.Alexsmom
